Brad has been a member at Deeside for about 10 Years. He is a former member of Moray and Newmachar golf clubs. Brad lives in Cults with his wife Elaine and his son and daughter who are all keen members of Deeside. Brad works for TAQA as Director of HSSEQ, Supply Chain and Legal.

Tom has been a member at Deeside for 27 years. He is a 2 times club Champion, he was Captain of the Junior team when they won the pennant league and he did a 4 year golf scholarship in North Carolina. Tom works for R&M Electrical in Sales.

Barton has been a member for 43 years. He is an chartered accountant with a law degree and spent most of his career in the oil and gas industry. He is now semi-retired and works on a part time consultancy basis with Dana Petroleum. Barton is also a curler and is an ex Scottish and European champion. He was involved in mounting a rescue of the old Dyce Curling rink and then was part of the project group that built the current Curling rink on the Lang Stracht. It is fantastic that we have someone with Barton’s experience joining Council.

Peter Reilly has been a member at Deeside for 19 years and had a career in Police Scotland and then worked in the Energy sector. Peter was appointed as Greens Convener in February 2025, having spent 5 months as interim Greens Convener.
Peter works closely with the Course Manager to ensure the Courses are in the best condition all the year round.

Chris has been a member for 31 years. He is an experienced senior finance professional and chartered accountant. Chris worked for more than twenty years with Wood Group. He is a trustee and board member of several charities and small companies. Chris does find plenty of time to golf at both Deeside and Royal Aberdeen.

Alan has been a member of the Club since 2012 and joined Council in 2022 as Greens Convener, before moving on to Vice-Captain and now Captain.

Sam joined the Professional Shop Team in 2022 and completed his traineeship through the PGA in 2024. Sam has competed in many of the mini tours around Europe and has been influential in growing our renowned Junior Section at Deeside Golf Club. In 2024, Sam was appointed PGA Professional/Head of Junior Development.

Payment

To book a tee time on-line you will have to enter your credit or debit card details using our secure on-line payment process.
Refund / Cancellation Policy
============================
You can cancel your booking by calling the Pro Shop on 01224 869457
If you cancel your booking more than 1 week before your date of play, there will be no charge made to your credit/debit card.
If you cancel your booking less than 1 week in advance, there will be a charge of 50% of the green fee made to your credit/debit card.
OPEN COMPETITIONS: If you cancel your booking less than one month before your date of play, you will lose your entry fee.
Failure To Cancel Your Booking

If you fail to cancel your booking, there will be a charge of 100% of the green fee made to your credit/debit card.
Course Closed
=============
If you are unable to play your round of golf due to the course being closed (e.g. bad weather), no charge will be made to your credit/debit card.
Booking Transferable
====================
The Booking is completely transferable. Therefore, should you be unable to make your tee time, you can offer the tee time to someone else such as a family member or friend.
Handicaps
=========
This facility is only available to golfers who have a golf club handicap supported by a valid CDH number.
Dress Code
==========
Smart casual attire both on and off the golf course. No jeans permitted on the golf course.
Spikes
======
Soft spikes are preferred on the course.

Margaret was Ladies captain in 2007 and 2008, is a past captain of Aberdeenshire Ladies County Golf Association and also a past Captain for the SVLGA, her Father is a past captain of Deeside and her brother is a past council member. Given Margaret’s extensive experience, commitment to Deeside and the wider golfing community, and her family ties with the club, Margaret will be excellent in the role in representing the Club at both internal and external events.

Jackie served as Vice Captain under past ladies’ captain Janice Gove. Jackie has been a member since 2006. Jackie’s mum Wendy Davidson was Captain in 1982. In those days you only held office for one year. Jackie is now following in her mum’s footsteps serving a two-year term. Jackie is married to fellow member Nick and has recently retired as a dentist. Jackie will oversee all the ladies’ fixtures and social events during her tenure as well as serve on Council and getting involved in the many projects around the Clubhouse.

David Halliday served as Vice Captain under Past Captain Simon Cruickshank. David has been a member since 2001 and brings his professional acumen to Council, particularly in progressing with the Clubhouse refurbishment. As a past Club Champion (both Dunriach and Stroke Play), David’s golfing knowledge has also been instrumental in the progress with Course projects.
